The year 2007 the little hatchback finally increases its size, as the 2007 Mini Cooper gains in external and internal dimensions. The 2007 model year also has better performance in the sportier S trim level. However, the redesign does not need too much of restyling and primarily inherits the external features of the 2006 make. The powertrain has a few significant upgrades in the 2007 Mini. The base models have an improved horsepower of 118hp. The supercharged version still delivers 168 horsepower. However, a six-speed automatic transmission is also a new addition, introduced to replace the CVT that used to be deployed earlier.
The 2007 Mini Cooper inherits most of the special features including the sunroof and ABS from the earlier makes. However, new additions include a package having improved trims for the interior as well as the exterior. A rear-side obstacle detection mechanism is provided in all the models.
